Heh! I remember staying up every Saturday night to watch Wilkin's movies. It was right before the first Star Wars was about to come out.

This was back when cable TV's remote was this hugh push-button box on an actual cable for it's remote control.

Oh, those were the days.

Growing up in New York, we used to watch the Kaiju movies on channel 11, WPIX, or on channel 9, WOR. They'd run a marathon of them on Thanksgiving, and occaisionally a week's worth during the Summer.

In addition to Godzilla, thye used to have such stuff as "Yongary: Monster from the Deep", and "Gorgo", Britain's own Kaiju.

You children crack me up. Can't imagine a world with three networks and no cable. GenX Godzilla my butt! That was entirely a post WW2 Japan-renaissance boomer movie if there ever was one.
