Not a bad deal. The only way to have a good conversation, pick the smartest person in the place and talk to him or her. Gandalf said that. Not in the movies, in the books.

I'm still here-I just went to take laundry out of the washer and look in the fridge for something to fix for supper-I have some ground beef thawed, so I guess I'll grill some patties, eat one, give Husky girl 1/2 of one with her dry food, and freeze the rest for another meal.

I've got to get a new videocam (ours is totally fried) to film Husky girl and the deer-that doe in the pictures Gabz posted for me has gotten two more does interested in the deer/dog games. A couple of nights ago, Husky girl started running back and forth along the fence, the way she does when she and the next door neighbors' Sheltie play. All of a sudden, that same doe started running after her on the other side of the fence, and when Husky girl stopped at the corner of the fence, she stopped too, lowered her head and stamped her feet-the dog went just wild with delight, running back and forth and play barking, with the doe running along on the other side of the fence, for about 5 minutes, then she got too hot and jumped into her kiddie pool on the deck. Last evening, two more does started running with the dog and first doe after they had finished eating the food I put out, making a game of getting to the end of the fence before the dog, and stamping their feet at her. I have got to get that on film-I took some pics, but it really can't be appreciated in stills...
