Wow, that reminds me of a friend who used to have a pear-apple tree that put out tons. She would give me bushels of pear-apples every year and I would make preserves and cakes out of them. Sooo delicious. I have a pear-apple cake recipe she gave me too that is to die for. To make it now I use about 5 apples and 2 pears, but it isn't quite the same. You want it??
I am gonna wait till the ones still on the tree are more ripe to do anything with them. These are ~really~ green. Like "just-formed" green.
