Well, fell asleep last night soon after hitting the couch, so I didn't get to watch very far into our DVD! It was a real cute movie, I like Cohen Brothers style, just couldn't stay awake more than a few minutes, given a pillow. Gonna finish watching it here this morning!
Here is a picture of the young soldier Wn and I met in the airport. She showed us her shrapnel wounds in her arm and after we told her about our troop support efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq, she gave us some Saddam Hussein money and a patch she got for valor, has the Big Red One on it...it's even signed by her commanding officer on the back. She was going home for a two week visit in Montana, then was heading back to Iraq.
I have her address...
When we got on our plane, it was about a third full of soldiers going home for R and R, I guess. The captain made some comments about them and we all applauded and thanked them. Then, when we went to exit the plane, we did the same thing...applauded, then we all sat tight till the soldiers got off, before we got off the plane. It was really really neat
