"We played a lot of waltzes...things we hadn't played in awhile."

What do you usually play?

Yep.... the three of us stood out in the place, in our lack of camouflage!

We look forward to taking you there when you get back!

I'm not even going to ask where the thread is because I'll probably say something that'll get me banned if I head over there and someone's talking to Jen like that. . .

Heh...I already made a run at it...

We need a whole day nap.... my ball is not on center yet! But we're good. It's been a great week!

I mean tunes that we hadn't played in awhile. We play waltzes all the time, but we got out the "big book" of sheet music and pulled out some we hadn't worked on, but liked. Getting ideas for the next gig, but without any pressure yet.

Jokes about West Virginia...

Ma'am, as a Virginian, I am honor bound to tell West Virginia jokes...And my West Virginia relatives return the favor in kind by telling Virginia Tech (a.k.a. "cow college") jokes.

(but your point is well taken)

Yep, the Dwarf came through, as always! Guess that's why we keep you around, eh?

Families are scary, aren't they? You seem to have more than your share of interesting folks, though.

LOL! I'd want a whole week nap after something like that! :)

Did anyone ever post the picture of my reaction when I saw the shoes?

No, they mentioned it. So were you really surprised? I thought perhaps I'd talked about them too much recently.

Gotcha! Do you ever play big band music?

Yeah, the wife and I kinda figure that for both of us the good genes kinda clumped together and escaped...

No... Mostly Celtic and the kind of music that would be used for contradances. Kind of Appalachian, I guess.

*snif* Wish I coulda been.

I hafta admit I got kinda lonely on Saturday, what with you guys havin' all the fun and all of my family gone. Got kinda down...'course the better part of a bottle of gin had nothing to do with it.

Had a welfare client say once about his significant other "I'd rather have her on my nerves than out of my life."

Lot of wisdom (not to mention a great country song) in that one...

Oh, okay. My friend used to play banjo in a band that played Appalachian music, so I've heard a little of that. What instruments are in your band?
