Jax b'day is the 2nd....but so many folks have plans for the 4th weekend that I went for the following weekend.....after having consulted with several of the moms who's kids are being invited.
This is a first for me - I've never done a kid's party before. I've got NO clue what I am doing.
The woman that owns the place where we're ging was so cool when I talked to her on Monday.......she wanted to know if I wanted to bring my own food in........this place is a restaurant.
This gal has no children of her own, but absolutely adores kids.....she's the one that did the big Easter Egg hunt and donated $1 to the local VFD for every egg found that day.
That photo of the dogs sleeping on the stairs is hysterical. My dogs would do the same thing if they had stairs. But then the cat would sneak out and scare the living shi'ite out of them.
having it outside of your own home with something for them to do, is key. you will be fine. i have done both and the idea of 5 boys and 3 girls and assorted guest dogs running amok at my house has me praying it is a sunny and nice day.

I'm supposed to go to Colorado on the 4th of July for my niece's wedding. I don't think I'll make it. The 4th makes the dogs and cat jittery.
we got a new computer and xshub is having his computer geek from the office come over and hook us up tomorrow PM, so i have to make dinner to feed the geek in return for the routing job. then friday PM, xshub has us driving to the eastern shore of MD for a c&w girlie singer concert that he is dying to see (as his fathers day gift), we are also having the house painted while we are gone on vaca, so i have been boxing up the atrocity that is xsbrownie's room to allow someone to move around in there, let alone paint. oh, my day of beauty is on Sat. i am greatly looking forward to relaxing for that.
My choices were the miniature golf or bowling.....but so many of them do the bowling thing i was looking for something different. Plus I know this place and the owner!
I'm just ROFL at the idea of xshub inviting the dogs!!!!!!!! I need some of whatever he was drinking or smoking when he decided on that!!!!!

The 4th always got my old girl in a tizzy.......last year not a problem at all.......no fireworks in close proximity - except what we set off in the yard.
