Studying for the license and taking the exam
with 8 tries and finally I am a
"HAM"
A amateur radio operator!
My goodness...
A dream that came true for an eight year old boy!
and now....
Morse code travels a long ways away to meet
new people and shake hands across the distance!
I have been sick and sleepless and have chatted with a
late night Cuban HAM
from Havana!
I have chased DX until I have finally made the contact in
some far, far away place!
SO many places.... I do not remember
them all!
The Congo, Germany, Thailand, Peru, Montana
and Iceland, and South Africa and Australia
and Japan and Vermont
and I have even made friends with the
Ham in the next town!
For me Ham Radio has been an extension of
my love and care for all mankind!
It's my of saying
"Thanks"
for sharing this planet with me!
God Bless!
and

Oh WOW what a poem today, love it. Perfect graphic.
I grew up with radio and have never lost my love for it.
There was great drama shows to empower ones imagination. Saturday mornings were a special treat for me. One show was called "Let's Pretend" , what a special time for a little kid in the sticks.
Thanks for Breakfast, tunes and poetry.
It's going to rain today again. Yesterday was fabulous. Alas, one day out of the week no rain.

Great tunes Sam. I bet PE would like the poem. ;-)
