Our friend's favorite saying after we've gotten together... "Oh well, we have stories!"
He was hubby's roommate in college. He could sleep, literally, for days.
We met him, his wife and another friend and girlfriend in Anderson, IN to camp and then go to the 500 Speedway for qualifying. The other friend's truck was blown over by straight line winds when he cam out from under an overpass - rolled and totalled, but they were fine. We figured, might as well finish the weekend - they were all from Detroit and could just ride home together. Then Doug's circa 1970 VM Bus broke down. Hubby and I were in a toyota 4wd pickup. We towed them illegally from Anderson, In to Detroit - we couldn't fit them in our truck and they were riding in the towed vehicle. I can't even remember what else went wrong that weekend - it was insane. And that's one of our more normal get togethers!
Sounds like one of my get togethers..
