Dawn Rainbow
A rainbow only bounces back to you the color in the light.
You get something quite special when the circumstance is right.
An early morning shower when the sun had hardly shown,
Caused the rainbow to get dressed in haste, in colors not its own.
Full golden was the rainbow, with neon at the edge,
As the sun was rising sleepily from beyond its earthen ledge.
I had never seen a rainbow that was monochrome like that,
But I remember vividly just where I was and where it sat.
There was no gold to find down on the ground beneath the bow,
For all of it was utilized in putting forth the glow.
No doubt you think Im daft to even say I saw the sight,
For no one else has ever seen a rainbow in dawns light.

Dawn Rainbow
Lovely poem Bob. I never thought about a rainbow at dawn. Nice twist.

Bob, your Dawn Rainbow poem would be so pretty in a frame. I would love to do that, but would not without your permission.
