Touch Our Moon

Time is touching our moon
and stars to strike the fire
lighting the heavens

In love we crossed the planets
seeing a moon watcher
wait for his reward
beyond the sun.

MIDNIGHT FOG

Night-time comes later than sundown, for us
the ones who talk, and sing,
and dance with others across the void.

I step outside, and into a world
of silence and wonder.
Mist and cool air,
utter stillness of the night.
Dripping mists off eaves,
dewdrops off the leaves,
gravel under my shoes
the only sound.

There's magic in this night,
the quiet and the gentleness
of the caressing mist,
walking with me as I make my way,

back to my bunk with the others,
brethren under arms who,
though they fight at my side,
cannot follow me in flight.

Good Night.
