Thank You Star for posting this poem. We are indeed the Land of Hope and Glory. My Grandmother came to America in 1899 from Finland. She was a gorgeous red head, Finn-Swede. She was born in 1864 and went home to Glory in 1970, 94 years old. She never gave up her mother land, nor the tongue. Her life here was tough, but a lot better in the long run. She had four children in Canada, (my mom one of them), and three in the USA. Her youngest child served in the United States Marines. He died last April.
