You said what I was thinking,
As if my thoughts you’d read.
Afterwards I wasn’t sure,
It wasn’t what I’d said.
You spoke about America,
And all that made her great.
You helped restore that greatness,
Before it was too late.
You did your job so calmly,
Inspiring to us all.
Like when you spoke to Gorbachev,
You said, “Tear down this Wall!”
Ronald Reagan, you’ll be missed,
But you have earned your rest.
Among the ranks of mortals,
You were one of the best.
Within my thoughts, I'll keep you,
Where you have been so long.

With Him, where you belong.
