I heard Carolyn Arends sing on a sampler CD, I liked her and ended up buying CD's from about 3 artists on the sampler, including hers.

You must have forgotten this story ....
As a young bashful wife of two years, I faced my first Presidential Election. Being the daughter of Southern Democrats, I registered as a Democrat though I was married to a staunch Republican.
Every Sunday during lunch with my Italian in-laws, I heard every reason why I should vote for Richard Nixon instead of John Kennedy. Not being one comfortable with confrontations, I would just nod my head.
After President Kennedy won the election, my SIL asked who I voted for and I confessed that I had voted for Kennedy. For years afterward when someone would comment about me being so quiet, she would say "yes, but she has a mind of her own. She will do as she damn well pleases" and then she would relate the story of what she thought was my agreeing with her and then doing as I pleased.
I'm happy to report that tho I probably voted for the Democratic Candidate for Governor in 1962, Kennedy was the last Democrat that I voted for for President.
A long story to relate that I'm gonna do what *I* wanna do.

I love storms but if I lived in the midwest, I may not enjoy them so much. Being in Indiana during the Memorial Day weekend and listening to the tornado sirens puts you in a different mood that our little thunder and lightening storms do.

Good afternoon, Billie.
I think I am finally getting back on California time but it seems to be taking forever to get anything accomplished.
My satellite modem died over the weekend. Directway is sending another but I don't expect it until Wednesday or Thursday.
Dialup sure slows the days down. ; )

Yep, dialup is slow, but I don't know any better! I'm used to it. (It's also one of the reasons I ask others at the Finest to please be mindful of those of us WITH dialups, and try to keep the graphics a reasonable size (not too many bytes...... but also not too wide for those of us who have our screen resolutions set at 800 x 600!)
Yes, thank you for the sundresses - I love them - got them in several different colors. LOL!
