Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Catch up?? Yer kidding , right?
I don't even attempt to stay caught up anymore.
To: Fedora
It was just a perfect day today. Maybe 80 or so, little breeze, lotsa beach, not a cloud in the sky.
Now I just hope this weather holds through the weekend... :-)

To: no one in particular
I hate packing...
To: Ramius
We're home.... watchin' the webcam... about to try to catch up!
We're wiped too! Sensory overload on a poor hobbit that doesn't get out much! Had a good day at the beach today, and tomorrow will be fun too, letting all the kids ride Bay.

It's the touch-o-the-sun, mostly. Playing on the beach with da kidlets. Tires one out...
OK... and starting with the first beer at Noon doesn't help either. :-) I don't rally like I did when I was nineteen.

Me too. It's like moving, only a smaller subset of stuff about which decisions must be made.

Thanks for the weather prayers Fedora... I think we will have good weather.
I get bummed when I think about it that my mom wasn't able to be able to be at my wedding, but just maybe she has something to do with the fine weather!

I did play with the settings... but the water *is* really violet just now. Sunset is happening.

Man, I'm worn out and sunburned! I don't think I'd have survived the evening boat ride, glad that got put off.
