On the other hand, it's been sooo cold for sooo long here in Vermont that even though I don't really care for heat, I'm rejoicing in the forecast - supposed to get up to nearly 90 today, and I'm actually HAPPY about that.

Getting lost in a good book is a good thing.
I'm up to the Quidditch match with Slytherin. So...quite a way. And I'm convinced that a lot of things (and people) are not what they seem, but don't have any proof yet.
Warning: do not begin Chapter 17 unless you are prepared to finish the rest of the book. That's where it gets really, really good.
Aren't fritattas (not sure of the spelling) more or less a big broiled omelet, sort of? I made a sort of one this morning. Sauteed mushrooms, onion and spinach, then poured two eggs beaten with a little milk over the vegetables, sprinkled the whole thing with cheese, and broiled until slightly browned. It was really simple and really good...I'm thinking I'll have to make that more often.
I didn't bring it to work with me today. I had it here yesterday afternoon and ended up sneaking chapters here and there. Figured it wasn't good for me to have it here.
Regardless of other qualities, she DOES do a good job of keeping mysteries going so you wanna know what happens next.

Nope. I just leave it on the stovetop and cover the pan so the egg on top cooks.
Ah, OK. That's even simpler! Though I liked the nice browned cheese.
If your doors have power locks you can open the locks manually.
I can't!!! Mine receed clear down into the door when they are locked. I'll never buy a car like THAT again!
