Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I am excited. Couple little stressers to take care of.... but far fewer than some weddings!
It is going to be a great day!

Check out this weird blue wine.... Many, many years ago, when even I was young, Nehi, well known for its flavored soda waters, tried a Nehi Blue. It was bright dark turquoise, like your wine there, and tasted like cream soda.
It made Mamma sick, as she kept telling me. I, of course, adored it.
Why are you looking at pastel wines?

Always, no sometimes, think it's me, but you know I know when it's a dream.
I think I know I mean a 'Yes' but it's all wrong, that is I think I disagree.
Let me take you down, 'cos I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Strawberry Fields forever.
Strawberry Fields forever.

Ah, Master Sea-Man! You're going to enjoy the Friday-to-Sunday thing, too, hmmm?
Shall we partake of your sister's freaky-colored wine?
What's the word?
THUNDERBIRD!
What's the price?
Forty twice!

Evenin' Rose!! :-)
The thing that bugs me most about that drink is the part where the ice cubes don't float. That just ain't right. That basically means that whatever it is, it is less dense than ice, or said another way: 20% lighter than water.
I don't think ice cubes float in Kerosene, either. The only stuff I know of that is liquid and floats on water are things that leave a multicolored slick. Not a good sign.

Beatles Trivia!John Lennon recorded two versions of "Strawberry Fields Forever", one with a slow tempo and one with a fast tempo, but he couldn't decide which one he preferred. So, he finally asked producer George Martin to mix the two together, which is why the final version of the song starts off with a slow tempo and speeds up midway through the song.

Just trying to bookmark things.
After the rainiest May in 150 years of Michigan history, and the second-rainiest month overall, I think my phone line is waterlogged somewhere. That explains connecting at 9.6kbs for the last two weeks.
Things are drying out, and I'm connecting at 28kps now, although winsock is a bit wonky yet. I'm hoping that things will dry out in a couple of days, and things will get back to normal.
I'll also be able to freep at DSL speeds on weekend midnights, as usual.
So please don't be too chatsy, I still have a ways to catch up. I'm still reading post 700.

Hmmm... or good 'ol MD 20/20. Like grape juice with a shot of pure grain alcohol in it. I respect that sort of attention to purity. :-)
