My Shadow
| I do not like my shadow, He's always in my way. Whether from the street light, Or on a sunny day. I step and he steps with me, It sometimes makes me trip. I have to go where there's no light, To give this guy the slip. I feel like he is mocking me, A fan of his I'm not. I like him best around high noon, When he is just a spot. He never has a thing to say, At least that part is good. He follows me or sometimes leads, Around the neighborhood. I really wish he'd go sit down, And let me be alone. I catch him smoking pot again, That's it he best be gone. |
