Daisy's character had that country girl charm - she was could be sweet and charming, but have Enus in a headlock on the ground in a flash. She would rescue her cousins and handle tough situations. Aside from the physical differences, Simpson's persona is too cutesy and clueless - I just can't see her getting dirty, riding in a Jeep, or living on a farm.

I agree ... Daisy's character was smart and practical and courageous, as well as voluptuous and scantily-dressed. She had more sense than the men! I'm not very familiar with Jessica Simpson (isn't that a cartoon character?), but maybe she can act.
My wife thinks Carmen Electra looks the part most (?)
