You've got me. I have no idea -- without doing some research, and the original WWI Poster website didn't specify.

Incidentally, I'm rethinking whether the first photos above were, indeed, the Sopwith Camel. What's you think?

I thought you were kidding. Yes it is a Camel. The Hump (Camel) that hides the back half of the twin Vickers machine guns is the distinct characteristic. The Sopwith Pup doesn't have the hump and the muzzles are farther back from the prop on the Pup.

And yes that is an Albatross built by Fokker. The Red Baron scored most of his kills in an Albatross.

Is this a test?
