MAGICIAN
There are times when your eyes play tricks on you
When what you see is black not blue
Or what is short is really tall
Or what is there is not at all.
At center stage, a magician's hands
Can fool your eyes with birds and fans.
To candles lit from unknown spaces
And cards appearing from unknown places.
It must be grand to mesmerize
And entertain by planned disguise,
Leaving suspense and wonderment
And guesses where that rabbit went.
