Not hearing from bureaucrats is usually a good thing.
While we are speaking of goofy actions at the hands of government, I'll tell you about the Applewhite reservoir - short version.
The reservoir was half finished.
Eco-weenies and short-sighted bean counters called for a vote on whether to finish the project.
The language of the ballot was thus: Vote "yes" to cancel the project and vote "no" to continue the project.
Needless to say, the electorate voted "yes" in great numbers only to discover that "Yes" did not mean "Yes." The voters screamed for a a new vote with honest verbiage on the ballot. The new vote saved the reservoir only after two expensive elections for which the rate payers had to pay.
Punctuality is a viture, but Caption-o-rama is worth waiting for. Thank you again Silverback. Do your best upon circumstances.
"Give me your honest opinion, Officer. Do these pants make my butt look big?"
And now for the latest dance craze to sweep the nation: the Dying Squirrel!
You don't want to know what they caught him doing with the Special Sauce.
When it comes down to nut-crackin' time, my money's on the woman with the gun...
No contest whatsoever...
Utter, respectful, and "can't add a few words" applause!
Dudette--
You are added to the Useful Idiots Caption-A-Rama ping list. Thank you for your interest in the products of my fevered brain, and see you next week!
God Bless,
Mr. S
