Tonight at Barnes & Nobels I got angry! I went to buy Dick Morris's new book Rewriting History. When I entered the store the table facing the front door was covered with all the new anti-Bush books, too many to mention. I looked all the way around the table expecting to find Morris on the back side. His book wasn't there.
I went to the nearest cash register & asked the lady where I might find Rewriting History (I am starting to smolder). She checked the computer and then informed me it was all the way across the store on the back wall.
I asked her why it was that the anti-Bush books slapped me in the face when I came in, but I had to ask for help to find Morris's book. She frowned and then said "I wish I knew, I just do what I am told". I told her I would like to ask the manager that question and she said "I wish you would, let me call him". She was grinning from ear to ear.
In a few minutes the manager showed up and after I asked him my question he blushed and stammered for a minute. Then he apologized several times and said he would make sure, from now on, that the front table would be "fair and balanced".
Then he added that the pro Bush books sold better anyway and they should be up front, like he didn't even know that they weren't.
Barnes and Nobles supports pro-sodomist policies. I'll try to dig up an article from a couple of years ago.
Their political agenda appears to be more important to them than......

One day, I was in a bookstore, and was walking past the cookbooks, when I happened to notice that Haggery Clinton's White House book was put in that section, with the cover facing outward. I've not looked at that book, but it seemed odd that it would be stuck in with the cookbooks.
At my Barnes and Noble they don't even pretend to care. All the anti-Bush books are together on a five foot high standing rack when you walk in. Hannity's book was in a pile on the floor in the back.
Those stores that do place Leftist books in favorable displays are only doing so out of desperation.
Real America will just walk right past their deceitful propaganda and seek out the truth.

I travel frequently and spend A LOT of time in bookstores . . . actually, like you, I spend a lot of time talking with store managers about the biased way in which they display conservative/pro-Bush books AND magazines!!!
As you discovered, these conversations do make a difference!!!
It isn't just Barnes & Nobles. It's the whole publishing industry. It's one big liberal incestuous relationship. And I'm not kidding. Unless you're big name, you just don't get conservative material published. That's because the publishing houses are inundated with liberals. It's the sad truth.

Many years ago pre-FR, Colorado "radicals" protested B&N for their selling an "art" book that smacked of pedophilia.
Don't recall the name but, of course, the store ignored
pleas to stop carrying pedophilic materials.
Police were called but nothing was done. Imagine that!

No I didn't see that book but we did have a nice conversation with a conservative policeman who saw the whole encounter and loved it. He said he hid hillarys books when ever he could. HA!
WOW, I had no idea. All my books are going to come from Amazon......uh oh, have you checked out Amazon?
And folks should keep this in mind: If a big box bookseller doesn't want it, chances are less likely that a book will get published. So they're deciding what sells in more ways than one.
I go past a Borders..I will have to go check!
