Why does he want this piece? Why does he stare like this?
Are you sure he will not bite me? Come on, please tell me, Sis.

Oh, brother mine, you are divine! You have no need to fear.
He looks to see if you’ll compete. He knows my food is near.
I feed him every day, you know. I do not eat his food.
The way you hold it near your mouth, why, don’t you know that’s rude?

I think it’s rude of him to stare, I’m sure he knows I’m scared.
I like him better on the lake. Up close, I’m unprepared.
I don’t think I can be his friend, nor can I trust in him.
He knows he cannot run on land. I know I cannot swim.

Just hold the cake out to him. He will not bite your hand.
He shows his faith and trust in you to come this close to land.
