Restoration of dull vinyl car interior help needed.

Does anyone have any information on how to restore luster to a vinyl automotive interior? We've heard that Armor All is NOT the way to go, so are looking for any helpful suggestions that may issue forth!!!! The car is a 1970 'Cuda, by the way.

Why not AA, or Son of a Gun, etc?

Just give me the car and get yourself a new one. Armor All doesn't scare me.

Seriously, get the Armor All cleaner and use it first. Scrub good with a soft brush and wipe dry with plenty of cotton terry. A clean water rinse probably wouldn't hurt either. The cleaner will help strip off old cleaner & polish residues and then that protectant will do a better job. Then keep that car out of the sun, use window film, a cloth cover, whatever you gotta do.

There was a show & shine up the street from my place today with several Mopars from that era. No 'Cudas though, or Challengers for that matter. Lots of Chargers though (I have always wanted one, but the right one hasn't come along) and an awesome Super Bee. The interiors in the all original cars were a bit rough. I don't think Chrysler made them out of the best stuff.

Unless you know something I don't, Armor All, regardless of what you've "heard."

You must ask Abner, believe she and hubby have some products that may work.

Armor-All leaves crappy residue and only 'fills' the surface to make it shiny.

Yuk!

Lib- thanks for the ping.

Vinylex - works great. Armour-all does more harm than good.
