Which Way?

Through the valleys and over hills,
Both up and down I’d crept.
I fell asleep for I was tired,
So very long I slept.
Is it rising? Is it setting?
I must say I don’t know.
That must be east or maybe west,
Now, which way do I go?
If I just wait a little while,
It will get dark or light.
I really hope it’s rising though,
Don’t want to spend the night.
To sleep out here among the stars,
With nature all around.
On second thought I hope it sets,
I’ll sit here on the ground.
But if it’s rising I will turn,
And walk toward the west.
I really like the rising sun,
But setting sun’s the best.
