Ping.
Fr. Gerard Murphy of St. Petersburg is the priest who testied on behalf of Michael Schiavo during the 2000 trial. Fr. Murphy agreed with Michael in that Terri should be starved to death. Fr. Murphy was struck by a car Friday (May 7) and passed away in Tampa. Please pray for him and his family.

If he was paid to testify against Terri's right to live, he will need extra prayers.

thanks for posting this & pinging me to this news. Condolences to those close to him.
"a Catholic priest whose work with terminally ill patients led to his outspokenness on the right to die" -- how sad that this Catholic priest who worked with the terminally ill apparently confused Terri with a terminally ill patient.
Terri is most certainly NOT terminally ill.
NOT brain dead, NOT in a coma.
How dare anyone, especially someone in a position of trust as he was, intentionally misrepresent her.

Not today for me.
As far as I am concerned he got what he deserved.
As he did not hold Terri's life precious, neither do I hold his life precious.
As you sow, so shall you reap.
