AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 1204 and 1205) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | May 8, 2004 | All of Us

Freedom is the gift of the Almighty to the world!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

There are, apparently and according to Sec'y Rumsfeld, far worse pictures and videos of prisoner torture than we have seen so far. Sen. Graham states: "Apparently the worst is yet to come potentially in terms of disturbing events."

OTOH, the first charges from the military have come forth. One female soldier has been charged with assaulting Iraqi detainees on multiple occassions, conspiracy to mistreat prisoners, and committing acts "that were prejudicial to good order and discipline and were of nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces through her mistreatment of Iraqi detainees."

Oil prices have now exceeded $40/bbl.

Exxon may soon become the largest company in the world, ahead of GE.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

A little humor relief to ease the stress: My Letter to Tide:

Dear Tide:

I am writing to say what an excellent product you have! I've used it all through my married life, as my Mom always told me it was the best. Now that I am in my fifties, I find it's even better!

In fact, about a month ago, I spilled some red wine on my new white blouse. My inconsiderate and uncaring husband started to berate me about how clumsy I was, and generally started becoming a pain in the neck.

One thing led to another and somehow I ended up with a lot of his blood on my white blouse. I tried to get the stain out using a bargain detergent, but it just wouldn't come out. After a quick trip to the supermarket, I purchased a bottle of liquid Tide with bleach alternative, and to my surprise and satisfaction, all of the stains came out!

In fact, the stains came out so well the detectives who came by yesterday told me that the DNA tests on my blouse were negative and then my attorney called and said that I would no longer be considered a suspect in the disappearance of my husband. What a relief! Going through menopause is bad enough without being a murder suspect!

I thank you, once again, for having such a great product.

Well, gotta go. I have to write a letter to the Hefty bag people ...

Sincerely,

I've noticed the naysayers at work are all Democrats. The same way the Dems were negative on Afghanistan, and then with the UN, then with the regime change, then with the ---etc, etc, etc (previously it was tax cuts, the Patriot act, the economy, jobs, outsourcing, etc, etc, etc)

--- they are with projects at work ---it'll never work, we can't sell it, it costs too much, takes too much time.....the competition makes a better product....

It's like playing the lotto.....I usually get one number right.....

The naysayers lock on to the one they correctly predicted and brush off the 90% error rate and simply whine.

Why do we want people in government who whine? Do they ever have a solution? A plan?

Ya'll did it. I am hungry & now instead of a nice piece of fruit I need to get going on some french toast. I have a loaf of French bread that was earmarked for F.Toast & garlic bread.

Neets did you get a little more rest? I got in another hour.. one rem cycle & woke up in midst of unpleasant dream.

That was an interesting thread. I "met" Miss Marple there in wee hours. It will be quite interesting to see how this all unfolds.
