Musta been the Guinness! *L*
I have the bear for animal(nothing like seeing them in the wild) and the football for currency.
Musta been the Guinness! *L*
LOL. You know I haven't had a black and tan since you told me the story behind the term.(I can't believe I didn't know that one) That brings me to this story.
One of the GOP members in my hometown was born in England. He still has a strong accent (I asked him if he voted for Thatcher) although he's lived here for 35 years and had been an American citizen longer than I have been here. We always joke back and forth about beer temperatures[nice and chilled :)] and Guinness vs Bass(which is great but no Guinness).
He was over in Dublin on business in the 70's or 80's, and ordered up a black and tan in the bar there. The bar went dead silent and all eyes were on "the Englishman ordering the black and tan". It must be only prevalent in America.
I don't know about you, but I've already had two approaches from other regions asking me to join them
Almost every (American at least) guy falls for a woman with an accent. It's the mystique. In my case, I wasn't asked. Must be Michigan Wolverine fans(our big rival in all sports) I've sussed them out. And saw they had 18% and 22% income taxation rates.
That's changing soon here....;)
