I've had occasional slow response from FR, or even no response, but it usually comes back with a refresh. Not seeing the kind of dropouts you are. Maybe it's the FR server being flaky? Don't have any clue why it would hit you particulary hard there, though.

Maybe it's a "perfect storm" of several little DNS and server problems adding up?
