Dude, what was up with Debbie Gibson and shopping malls? I mean couldn't the chick spring for a gig somewhere with seats?

Can anyone explain to me Melanie's PAIR of rollerskates? I mean I get the key part, but is she supposed to have two rollerskates? He obviously had a car and she didn't. The roller skates made absolutely no sense, which is probably why this guy avoided her like the plague.
To: TheBigB
That would be Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Well, when I saw her, it was at the Southern Star Amphitheater at Six Flags. I think she and Tiff did the mall thing because it fit their image. Y'know, teenage girl, mall, and all that.

Yes! Good job, lugsoul!
Here's a couple more...
What was the SHORTEST song (in terms of time of play) to go to #1?
What #1 song had the LONGEST TITLE?

I thought you might enjoy hearing us old fogies discuss them, anyway. :)

The rollerskate/key thing was all about driving her new vehicle, but it was definately not a car, hence the pair confusion. If she refered to her pair as her pair, I didn't need a key. If I needed my key, where is the pair for the key? Either I've been quite ignorant of my wife's anatomy and she's got a pair of something I know only one of.
It must be like that lost sock thing..........

DK about the shortest song, but the longest title was that "Stars on 45" Beatles medley:
Medley: Intro Venus/Sugar Sugar/No Reply/I'll Be Back/Drive My Car/Do You Want To Know a Secret/We Can Work It Out/I Should Have Known Better/Nowhere Man/You're Going To Lose That Girl/Stars on 45

Of course we liked all that stuff!
There is some of the stuff, the high-school rebellion type music, that I can't get myself in the headspace to ~dig~ any more.... but we did love it then!
Now... there are songs I hate and always did, that were popular.... One that comes to mind is "I'm only Human"... The duet where they both admit to cheating on each other and they talk in the middle of it? I just want to choke both of them. Wanted to then, Still would choke them now.

That would be "Joy to the World." Written by none other than Hoyt Axton.

Yep, good job again! The shortest song was "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs at 1 minute, 37 seconds.

Of course, the only reason I know that is that I remember they were required to list every song title that had a snippet in that mix - royalties, ya know.
Trivia back at ya: The drummer for what band produced the aforementioned "Stars on 45" medley?

No wonder I couldn't come up with that one - well before my time. I always think of that song as the second-half of "The Load Out" by Jackson Browne.
