Kajagoogoo, Human League, Dexy's Midnight Runners, and Men Without Hats

Some fun songs there...Too Shy, Don't You Want Me, Come On Eileen, and The Safety Dance. I like 'em all. Doesn't matter to me if anyone else does or not. Afraid to list your own favorites?

We have a running joke around here about where to go to see the "gathering of the mullets": Bengals games, Bass Pro Shop-Outdoor World (which is a great store, once you get past the mullet convention), certain sections of town....

I like The Allmann Brothers, too. To each his own. :)

It's the bow tie that puts the whole look together, IMHO. ;)

I would think your fave would be "The Warrior" by Scandal. ;)

Scandal was a fun band, if you could get past the fact that their singer sounded a lot like the chick from Quarterflash.

Scandal, The Motels, Quarterflash, The Go-Gos, Vixen, and Nu Shooz were all the same band, weren't they?

Have you ever been to MulletsGalore.com? You'll find the most amazing mullet collection ever. One of my favorites is the Meximullet (also known as the Mullatino).

BTW, I also like The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. As the big freighters go, it was bigger than most, you know. ;)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Your post reminded me of another, terrible song, I bet it's played by pickle smoochers on special occasions the world over.

"Time Passages..." Was that guy a flamer, or what?

The Go-Gos weren't in that bunch . . . they were lots cuter than the Scandal and Quarterflash singers. But I notice you omitted Girlschool from the list!

The best girl band around right now is L7. I'll never forget watching them trash the Letterman stage. They ROCK.

And the crew and good captain were well-seasoned but that didn't keep the beast afloat, now did it? :)

Is a recording extant of the Beach Boys recording Charles Manson's (yes) "Never Learn Not To Love"?

"...if you could get past the fact that their singer sounded a lot like the chick from Quarterflash."

I remember seeing somewhere that she is in some group in Oregon called "The Trail Band" that plays songs of the pioneers to the Pacific Northwest (or something along those lines).

I had "The Battle of New Orleans" by the great Johnny Horton, on 45 and would play it constantly, over and over and over, till my older brother broke it in a fit of rage. Probably an early indication of his mental illness.
