Archy -- that line jumped out at me when I read the original essay. Showing, clearly, that there was a lot more to this guy than skateboards and Sting Rays. What an ordeal he fought through.,P. Yep. There were very much two sides to the coin of his personality: the flip and brash humorist of *The Little Old Lady From Pasadena* and *Schlock Rod*, a fan of Laurel and Hardy.

And then there's the other side of that coin, that of that fighter who wouldn't give up or give in. Amazing.

Thanks for reminding me of "Schlock Rod." The flip side of "Drag City" as I recall. Maybe not as good as "Play Other Side," but not bad.
