That time of my life had to be the weirdest. My roomate and I had the upstairs of this house. The woman's name was Carmella (I kid you not), and her house was right out of Goodfella's. You know, Black formica and god stuff. She had like 7 poodles. Her life was Goodfella. She had been having an affair with this guy for almost 15 years. He had his family out on Long Island. She was well into her 40's. You could tell she was once a beauty, but she was kinda average at this time. He owned Grocery stores. He bought her the house and a beauty salon. Once a week a limo would drive up and all these big men would get out and go into her house where they would have their meeting and she would serve the food. After those meetings, she's come up and give us the leftovers. She wasn't very secretive about it and of course everyone in the neighborhood knew who she was and who he was. Needless to say, I felt very safe living there.

The day he was arrested, I remember saying goodbye to them as they rode away in the limo. She told me they were going to Rio. The next day he was on the front page of the New York Daily News.

Wow! You should write a book about all that.
