Well, FR has changed so much. I had the nerve to post on the Reagan thread that I thought that Laura and President Bush had a more mature marriage than the Reagan's.

I got so tired of that 'love affair' aspect of President Reagan and Nancy, really. They both have admitted that they had family problems with their children because of their rather juvenile dependency (I think) on each other.

I loved President Reagan and respected Nancy.

But, when I posted this, all hell broke loose, as I should have expected in this new elitist controlled FR. I was desecrating the thread, you know.

Well, actually, I finally ended up telling the Mod to ban me if he/she had thought I had posted something wrong. So, he told me that he agreed with me, but that I had earned a suspension.

I am still laughing.

I don't think you should have been suppended. I do recognized that maybe another time would have been better to voice this.

I think their relationship was beautiful for a man and a women should be come one. A child is suppose to leave their parents and cling unto their mate. Every thing in balance and children should never dominate so much time that their parent are not able to nurture their love.

Nancy said when Ronnie came into her world that is when life began for her. I feel the same way about my husband when he enter my life it had meaning!

However, on the day he died and on a thread that was a tribute to him an his Presidency wasn't the place

They had problems with their children because the kids were sucked into a world of their whining peers, spoiled brats who have nothing better to do than criticize their parents and resent all authority, rather than make lives for themselves. Unhappy, unmotivated, ungrateful cretins. I have a couple like that, and no marriage to blame it on. I wish I had a husband for support and comfort for myself and a role model for my sons. But it isn't meant to be. I do not harshly judge any parent who sets a good example.
