I even remember when welfare was thought of as an embarassment. If one ever had to be on welfare, even for a legitimate reason, but for a short time, NOW - the young especially view it as an entitlement. It's pathetic.

Well, welfare is not an entitlement here anymore, thanks to Newt Gingrich and the 104th congress. Many forget how much good work he and the first Republican house in forty years accomplished.
