I am believing that the so called abuses of detainees were nothing more than what the military does routinely. It changes from war to war, but the effect is the same. Sleep deprivation is not torture, nor is showing Iraqi terrorists in the nude being laughed at by women MP. In fact, it is a logical maneuver to soften up Muslim terrorists to show that they are very vunerable.

What galls me is that the women will have to take the fall for orders from higher up.

And it frightens me that when we are in a war for our very lives, our politicians go before the nation and apologize for us.

We have met the enemy...and it is us conservatives.

I happened to flip by CNN last night and Russert is up there flapping his gums like a mad man about "this goes to the very heart of what we are as nation" blah blah. Had to switch at that point.
