Good morning everyone.
I had a wonderful (another) party last night, but I slept terrible after all the food. Actually I never slept at all until about 4:30 this morning. When I get up at 7:15 you know I'm a mess. ;)
NO MORE parties.. please. I feel like I need a rest home for a few weeks.
My oldest daughter brought the whole works up from Mass for five of us. We started with Littleneck clams in wine, garlic, fresh parsley (and more garlic). Fresh crusty bread to sop up the juices with. Then we had a pot of veggie soup. Next came three grilled Quail each, with a huge bowl of rice and fried potatoes.
OMG..it was a wonderful Portuguese treat, and came from one of our fav restaurants, but..........we all ate too much, laughed too much, stayed up too late, and I'm so happy I'm not one of the ones that have to work today.
I also got a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my son in Mass yesterday. What a surprise when I got home from getting my hair done from my daughter Dyan.
I love my hair-do.. and was only joking with the pic I posted. My granddaughter Jessie wanted to see how Poser worked and helped me make up that monstrosity..lol. We had fun making it.
Now I need a day off until tomorrow, when I am having company again.
Good grief I'm getting pooped. I am too used to the old lady life in FL..

Grannie, you just have entirely too much fun. I have to say, though, that I'm not even jealous this week. We had a fantastic time doing everything we could cram into 8 days. Dawn and Vickie went to Oaks and on Derby Day we went to a place where we could drink and watch the race on bigscreen TV. We got just about as drenched as the people at the track.
When we got to Eureka Springs we toured the Queen Anne Mansion and Quigley's Castle, went for a nice hike down by Leatherwood Lake, went to Thorncrown Chapel and took another hike by Pivot Rock. We walked around town photographing some of the magnificent and charming houses there and of course, we went downtown shopping. We went to the haunted Crescent Hotel, did the New Holy Land tour at the Passion Play grounds and saw the Passion Play. We also took a cruise on Beaver Lake. We stayed in a hotel with Victorian decor and indoor pool and hot tub surrounded by plants in a greenhouse-like environment and we ate obscene amounts of food and drank LOTS of blue thingies. When we got home we went to get our hair done. I'm having a hard time getting back into my routine since Dawn left. It was wonderful having her here.
