Westy, I am sh*tting in high cotton today. So, we drove over to Mayfield, Kentucky to look at the Quest 10x I had ordered. BTW, my husband said that this is strictly my operation, as I am more familiar with the pop-ups and he isn't. He also told me to handle the transaction and get anything I wanted as long as his pick-up could pull it. The salesman had said that he wouldn't hold me to the sale unless I approved of it, since I had never physically seen one.

So, anyway, I get on the lot and see the Quest and I hate the interior fabrics of the drapes and cushions. And so I wanted to look at other Jayco pop-ups on his lot. I found an Eagle (a step up from the Quest) with nice fabrics and more storage and sleeping rooms. But, the list price was $2000 more than the list price on the Quest. But, he showed me that the Eagle had more standards included for that price than the Quest, which were options. And then he happened to mention that it was a 2003 not 2004 although brand new.

I swear, Westy, my heart thumped when I asked him if could really deal on this one. So, he goes back and brings me some numbers. The Eagle had all the options that I would have had to buy extra in the Quest. He says that since the Eagle had an icebox instead of a refidgerator, it would be essentially the same price.

So we went to lunch for me to think on it. I distinctly remember that Eagle having a refridgerator. So, tell my husband that I will have that even if I had to pay extra. So I go back and tell the salesman that that I want the Eagle, but with a fridge instead of the icebox ($400 difference). He says it has an icebox. I say no. He checks and I was right. He sighs and says I can have it at the price he quoted me.

So, really, I got a better Jayco for the same price. My husband said he thought he saw the poor salesman sweating bullets. LOL
