LOL, sweet tea! I had forgotten about that. 'round here there is sugar on all the tables in a restaurant so you can add your own sugar to your tea. In Augusta, Georgia, they don't bother to even ask you if you want sweet or unsweet, they serve you sweet, and it tastes just like koolaid, hehe (I don't like my tea quite *that* sweet). I sure do like my peach tea and my raspberry tea though.
Speaking of raspberry tea, somehow, I have ended up with two mugs of it on my desk... in Pooh Bear mugs no less.

Mo, if you use one cup of flour, then you use one cup of beer. And I guess you will next ask me what a pinch is? LOL

Peach and Rasberry tea? Forget the South rising again. LOL
To: Mo1
LOL, I wasn't thinking in cups... As soon and I saw the word "beer" I was thinking in cans.
seriesly, equal parts is the same thing as equal amounts. whatever amount you use for one, use the same amt for the other.

Oh my word, I am laughing so hard.
A part is one and another part is equal to the first. So, if you want to make a small batch, you would do one cup of flour and one cup of beer. But, if you need to fry a larger batch, you would do three cups of flour to three cups of beer.
And never forget that even southern women cannot bake good cakes. LOL

I take it you were at Ft. Gordon. I used to livre in Augusta....out off old highway 50 S. Went to college there. I have really missed it. I loved Georgia. And actually, there are a couple of restaurants that have unsweetened tea, but you have to request it and they look at you funny. Not that I've ever asked, but I've been with people who have.

"You didn't say "cup" .. you said "part" Bless your heart, Mo. Hehehe.....suppose you're making up a mess of something that requires more than a cup? Or supposed you have more than 2 ingredients. For example, say you needed shortening, flour and sugar, but you needed twice as much flour as shortening and sugar. Then you would use 1 part shortening, 1 part sugar and 2 parts flour. In other words, just figure out how many parts combine to make a whole. Very simple.
Pay close attention Mo; not many yankees get instructed in the finer points of southern ways....and cooking. If you really want surprise hubby when he comes home....tell him you're gonna make him up a mess of greens and a sweet potato pie to go with them fish (assuming he catches any). Of course, he's had your cooking, but the thought will temporatily throw him off his guard and he will adore you for it. Then he'll get someone to watch the girls and take you out to dinner (are there any restaurants in Philly that serve catfish, greens and sweet potato pie?)

"And never forget that even southern women cannot bake good cakes." I beg to differ with you. I come from a long line of excellent cake bakers and my pineapple upside cake is second to none since Grandma passed away.

Bless your heart, Mo. Hehehe..... Ok ok .. Now I know what that means .. *L*
And yes he does catch fish. It's funny because his buddy who has every fishing gadget possible never catches a thing
All Mike takes is his fishing pole a few worms and some other creepy bugs and he always catches his limit
