Well, I want to be cremated, but I haven't thought of where I want my ashes stown. I need to think of that a bit.

I am worried of grannie also. But, if she had to go to the ER, it takes hours.
Just ask me, who waited hours until my grandson's swallowed penny was resolved.
LOL

wanna be parted out... You want to give your body to science?
To: westmex
Well, just damn, I have to think of a lovely place to throw my ashes. I had never thought of that before, Westy. I don't want to end up on someone's mantel in an urn.
I have had much trouble convincing my family that I wanted cremation instead of burial, but now I know they believe me.
But, maybe I should put it in writing and make a will.
To: Conservababe
Nope. Too many missing parts.
I want others to be able to live/live better with my parts when I'm done with them.

I know, the wife's folks didn't believe in cremation...Think the closest crematorium was in Chicago....Anyway the wife and daughter are buried....
All but three of my parents and grand parents have been cremated, but they are in cemeteries.....one grandfather and grandmother are buried over in Idaho...The other grandfather is buried in a field of weeds in Montana

I got a couple hours sleep. Al got me the spray Lidocaine and he forced fed me three aspirin, so I got some rest.
The burning feeling has subsided enough for the moment as long as I keep anything much from touching it. I am starting to blister in places now. So I imagine that I'll have to be really careful about that as it will be easy to get infected.
The Phamacist said that the first and second degree burns hurt the most, and I assume these are second. I've had a third degree, and that took the skin right off. That's what I got for wrapping a leg around a hot motorcycle muffler when I was young.. I will see if I can eat a little something..maybe some grapenut custard I made earlier and then it will be time to take more aspirin. I suppose this ends my swimming until I leave. Darn, I was enjoying it so much too.
Just wanted to let you know that I didn't go to the hospital. I don't do hospitals if I can manage not to. ;)

Oh, organ donation? I cannot go there again with my experiences in harvesting organs.

The other grandfather is buried in a field of weeds in Montana And the rest of the story is.....I am curious, Westy. It is just my nature.
To: grannie9
Thanks. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

I'm glad your're better. Just three things....
I want the recipe for the grapenut custard.
Why didn't you wear leathers on a motorcycle (I assume it was a Hog) in your youth? I did.
And yes, do be careful of infection.
To: Conservababe
Not much of a story...Those grandparents were German Lutherans....The cemetery in the little town was at the Catholic Church...There was another out of town for the non catholics but the only maintenance of it was by family members of their own plots...There hasn't been any of my family over there for years...So, Grandpa is buried in a field of weeds...I doubt if he cares.....

Two blocks from me is a Lutheran cemetery, right smack dab in the middle of a residential city block of houses. I have gone there often. No one has been buried there since 1949, by seeing the gravestones. But, it is kept up by the Lutheran church here. A shame that a grave site is not attended.
To: Conservababe
Exactly.
