It's King County, and after all it's located on the left coast...The Eastern part of the State is way more Conservative, but the population is on the West side...
The County wasn't named after Martin Luther King....

I believe the guy's name was Rufus King and he was in some President's Cabinet back in the 1800s....The local blacks have tried to make out it was for MLK, but it was named way before his time....For whatever that is worth....

My paternal grandfather left the South after the War between the States and went West...Some of his relatives went to Mexico...

Beats me..I mainly only know about my Grandfather and I don't know for a fact that was why he went to Colorado, then California, where my Dad was born, and finally Idaho.....
