Your duty is to vote for the best person for President. Withholding your vote indicates you are willing to let others make the decision.

If that is what you want, so be it. My democrat sister will be voting for Bush, so no loss to the Republicns due to you.

When I read your words I’m reminded of Edmund Burke, a British parliamentarian who championed the cause of American independence. In a speech before Parliament on April 23, 1770, Burke said,

‘When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.’

That quote from Burke has come to be delivered in a more familiar form as,

‘The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.’

I sincerely hope you will give this some careful thought and reconsider your action come this November.
