I've caught enough of the 9/11 Commission public hearings to be downright angry. Here's the email I just sent them:

Commision Members:

I want you to know that I am absolutely disgusted by the behavior of Commissioners Gorelick, Kerrey, Ben-Veniste and Roemer in their savaging of Condoleeza Rice and John Ashcroft. The arrogance of these four people is embarrassing. It is an outrage. They have turned this Commission into a war on the Bush administration. They've diverted it from it's duty as a fact-finding body charged also with making suggestions that make another attack much more difficult to perpetrate in the United States.

You are a disgrace to your country. You are a disgrace to those who died on September 11th, not that I think any of that really matters to you. Maybe this will get your attention - your crass antics aren't playing well here in "flyover country." I'd bet a year's salary they aren't playing well across the country, for that matter. People know rank partisanship when they smell it, and you four wreak.

What a waste of time, money and effort this Commission is! We'd have gotten further with some of you if we'd simply promised you television contracts rather than the opportunity to participate. You'd have still gotten to do your "aping" for the cameras, but we'd have been saved your clown acts as Commissioners.

God help our country if you are the best it has to offer.

Don't know if they'll read it, but I feel better. And if I ever run into one of them they are going to get an earful.
