Getting a job these days is about making personal connections. Don't call, or apply over the internet - nothing happens that way. Walk right in to these companies, and do your best to make positive personal connections with the people who make hiring decisions.

(Voting Bush because there is no reasonable alternative)

Thanks for your reply. Most companies only list their email addresses. When you call personally they're cagey. It's very frustrating. The retail job I had has now instituted a "contract" that you have to sign. It tells you that if you don't sell a certain amount per week, you're out. This is abusive! Get a heart, people. I'm not the only one in this situation. Bush will NOT get reelected. Believe me. I will not vote for Kerry either, so I will refrain from voting for the first time in my life.

Agree applying Online is going to get you NO WHERE and you need to make contact personal contact, and if you don't have a job get any job that is offered at any wage and keep looking.
