Allow me to introduce someone else who is concerned about GAS PRISES. Y'all have fun.

Drive a fuel-efficient car. Then you can stick it to OPEC every time you get behind the wheel :)

I'm sure my employer will be understanding that I can't make it to work on your no drive day, so my commuter car that gets 32 mpg doesn't use its daily 1.3 gallons and make OPEC shake in their boots.

Do you really think there will be any affect on the foreing level? Consumption overall will be the same - and a tanker will offload when it offloads.
Whether you buy gas on thursday night of friday morning makes no difference to somw swahib in fa la la lujah, it will only effect your neighbor, the gas station owner and even then, the effect would be miniscule.
If you come up with a real plan, like geting US oil from Texas, ANWR, PA or the gulf, let me know.

Does it count if you take a cab? (Not driving)

I say let's have a national NO GAS BUYING DAY and show OPEC who really controls the prices.Like this is going to mean something? You're just shifting demand by 24 hours if anyone even bothers (and why should they). You didn't think this one through.
Drilling in the ANWAR would be good. Getting rid of the regional blends (84 and counting) artificially imposed by the junk science bureaucrats at the EPA would be good. Relaxing the regulatory requirement on refineries would be good, but skipping driving a day? total waste.

It's not a refinery, it's a PX chemicals plant. The facility has nothing to do with processing or refining gasoline.

A more effective type of boycott would be to tell the oil companies that we will no longer buy anything in their overpriced mini-marts until gas prices come back down.
