The Gilligan's Island crew got the shaft on the residual's for the series. I read somewhere that they only got paid for the first three cycles of reruns. The show is on somewhere in the world 24-7. With decent contracts they would all be billionaires.

Part of the reason some shows like GI or The Three Stooges have become so popular for broadcasters is that they're cheap. If the actors had good contracts, the shows would have cost more for stations to air and would thus not have been as attractive.
