WORD FOR THE DAY
March 25, 2004, Thursday | Slip 18

Posted on 03/25/2004 6:00:01 AM PST by Slip18

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Subbie Slip had better not see anyone pushing Conspiracy Guy or Laura Earl. They need to be at their most beautifulness before the wedding! Principal JimRob told me he was going to be watching this thread today, so y’all behave, ya hear?

mendacity noun:
Pronunciation: Just as it is spelled.

Etymology: I don’t know. Who do you think I am, Miss Rika?

1) The practice of an instance of lying; falsehood.

the lawn boys are nothing to write home about, but the guy that own's the company is a hottie, and he comes out to do the walk about to decide what needs to be done. he is the one that complimented me on my beds last year and earned my undying love! this time he came while i was at work : ( and just left little blue and red ties on plants that needed weeding or pruning.

Yes, it should be fun. Any suggestions on a thoughtful, gracious gift for the young ladies from church who will act as servers/hostesses at the reception?
