In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip had better not see anyone pushing Conspiracy Guy or Laura Earl. They need to be at their most beautifulness before the wedding! Principal JimRob told me he was going to be watching this thread today, so yall behave, ya hear?

I always thought that Liz, Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn were the most beautiful women in the world.

Well, Jaded, I can only give you a B for lubbing my word. We need to bring in a link, a poem, a funny -- oh, "lubs yer sentence" is funny. Never mind.
You get an A+!

I planted about 200 hyacinths up in Big Bear. They are just so beautiful. Can't have them here. They would come up and get burned.
Congratulations on your accomplishment. I am as jealous as h-e-double sticks.

I have to leave all of you for about an hour. I'm going to feed my Parents-in-law's dog. He needs to be fed at 8:00 a.m., then be cuddled, et cetera.
Bring out your crayons and coloring books for a while. Just stay out of trouble, okay?

no argument from me, although for some odd reason I've always been way more into Katherine than Audrey (not like one HAS to pick)

*sigh.....Liz Taylor...
I love that exchange in Cleopatra, where she tells Richard Burton,
HE says...."You dare ask the Proconsul of Rome to Kneel...."
And she says "I asked it of Julius Caesar. ... I demand it of You....ON YOUR KNEES!!!!!"

ahhhhh - that is a pleasent thought.
For what it's worth, the Treasures of Cleopatra Exhibit rolled thru town a couple years back, and a funny little thing we learned is that she pretty much was unattractive. So we kinda figured she must have been really, really good at what she did to be such a successful woo-er of men. Although the power-thing sure helps.

Here is my example of
mendacity for the day (so many examples, so little time..)
Off to find some pictures of bluebonnets... :)
