An old Mossberg 500 with 8 round magazine, 18" barrel, no choke, that I've used as a boat gun for years. Also has a 28" barrel for bird hunting, and is surprisingly OK at that, though hopelessly unbalanced in that configuration.
The salt air ruined the Parkerized finish a long time ago, at the moment it's finished with matte black engine paint, Chevy, I think. Still works good.
My wife took the picture the other day, it makes the little thing look like a cannon, I thought it was kind of humorous.

An old Mossberg 500 with 8 round magazine, 18" barrel, no choke I should have known... I have one of those. I have both of those barrels, too. It's a nice knockoff of the Remington 870, but only almost. I still think I'm gonna get an 870 to get this outta my system. My Mossberg is having problems though... and as I understand, it's a fairly common issue: the safety switch breaks. The little plastic thumbswitch breaks off, and then the dang thing tends to fall into "safety on" position just as you're about to pull the trigger. Most distracting. :-) Speaking of boat shotguns... have you ever seen the all-stainless S&W "Camper Special"??? Looks like a nifty thing for a saltwater environment.

(As it turns out... taxation *with* representation ain't all that great either.)
