He is just FAR too young and too "prettyboyish" to play Bond now. James Bond should be at least in his thirties (he was 31 at the time of the events of Dr. No).
Of course, the Sean Connery of From Russia With Love and Goldfinger is the gold standard of Bond portrayals. Pierce Brosnan isn't too bad though... better than Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton. Moore played him too light, and Dalton too dark.
